Program Development Staff

Ifarada: Centre for Excellence is an innovative organization that is Black-led and operated. The organization is committed to providing programs and services for children, youth, adults, and families.
Ifarada provides anti-oppressive, holistic and trauma-informed care. We recognize and understand how systemic issues can impact our families and ensure to use a culturally-informed approach.

We are looking for talented and driven staff team members, registered in school or in students for May to September 2021. This full-time, summer experience program is geared to support our team to develop and facilitate youth programs, to enhance and review our social media and marketing, to contribute to our resource library, and similar activities.

The ideal candidate is a graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or enrolled in a College or University program in September 2021. Successful criminal reference check, and three professional references.

Key competencies: ability to use the computer, website development, working with children and youth, understanding families, anti-oppressive practice, program development, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, and strong interpersonal skills.

Benefits: ability to work from home for 75% of the placement, competitive compensation: $15/hr-$20/hr, webcam and microphone.

Research Development Staff

Ifarada: Centre for Excellence is an innovative organization that is Black-led and operated. Through innovation, we are seeking to emerge as the leader in equity and inclusive practice within our region.

We are looking for talented and driven staff team members, registered in school or in students for May to September 2021. This full-time, summer experience program is geared to support our team to develop online learning courses, to enhance and review our social media and marketing, to contribute to our resource library, and develop a funding profile.

The ideal candidate is a second year or recent graduate enrolled in a College or University program in September 2021. Successful criminal reference check, and three professional references.

Key competencies: ability to use the computer, website development, working with children and youth, understanding families, anti-oppressive practice, program development, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, and strong interpersonal skills.

Benefits: ability to work from home for 100% of the placement, competitive compensation: $15/hr-$20/hr, webcam and microphone.

College Placements

Looking for a placement for your diploma program? Our placement program is individualized, and geared to meet your learning goals. We accept 5 placements per term.

University Placement

University undergrad, post graduate and graduate placement students are welcomed to apply for a client-focused, treatment and culturally informed placement with Ifarada.

Board Members

We are always seeking Board Members to join our team on a volunteer basis. Board meetings occur annually, with regular updates. Board members can choose to become actively involved in activities.
